proposal writing and proposal management

As a proposal coordinator with Jacobs, I manage responses to federal request for proposals (RFPs). Working with diverse teams including graphic designers, senior leadership, and subject matter experts, I use my communication, collaboration, and strategic content development skills to create winning proposals. In my previous role as a proposal writer for Tetra Tech, an international architecture and engineering firm, I wrote proposal materials to win work with federal clients. I also authored digital stories for clients and for the firm. Through this role, I gained significant persuasive writing experience as well as the ability to quickly learn technical topics through independent research and subject matter expert interviews.

magazine copywriting and editorial

As an editor and writer with Time Inc. and Meredith Corporation, I produced special interest magazines for brands such as Cooking Light and Weight Watchers. I worked closely with the creative director, photography department, and graphic designers to create compelling spreads. I learned how to pair catchy copy with striking imagery to tell stories that sell.

higher education editorial

As the Senior Communications Specialist for the College of Sciences at the University of San Antonio, I relaunched the College’s magazine with new branding and updated content. I now produce the biannual magazine as a freelance editor.
